This version is easier to play without losing the original character of the piece. Most of the piece is in 9/8 at a moderate tempo. There are solos for tenor saxophone, trumpet and piano, with a wonderful, written-out piano solo in the beginning. Trumpet ranges are quite reasonable.5-5-5-3.
