Thanks to the present Urtext edition, the Duets are now being published for the first time. The musical text goes back to manuscript sources that were no doubt based on one common source. The instruments expressly mentioned here for the execution are "Claviere" accordingly, the pieces were conceived very broadly for two keyboard instruments.
