Composed in an Italianate style, these inventive pieces appear here in print for the first time. This edition gives two versions of the accompaniment: as a separate figured bass part, and as a realization, made by Rita Papp. The preface preceding the score contains useful information about the editorial principles underlying the publication, and practical tips for an authentic performance of the music.
