Grace Notes are uncommon in the world of elementary level music.  However, they are easy enough for the elementary student to play.  A Piece for Mrs. Grace Notes's, a mid-elementary level piece, melody is full of grace notes and is very poplar with my students.  They especially enjoy the B section but must be patient with the Hemiola type rhythm at its conclusion.  The ending is exciting and easily obtainable with repetition.  A Piece for Mrs. Grace Notes received honorable mention in the 2013 American College of Musician's International Composing Competition.  I know your students will enjoy the piece!
