I characterize the "spirit" of my 12-bar structure as: Pride (first 4 bars), the Fall (middle 4 bars), and Repentance or Reconciliation (last 4 bars).My specific lyrics in the lead sheet may refer to any individual who has succumbed to overweening pride or unrealistic self-confidence.
