In Ferrer Ferran’s starkly contrasting composition the emotions that this tale evokes come to the fore: the bliss of divine life and humanity, as opposed to worry, fear and self-sacri_x001F_fice. Dit groots symfonisch gedicht is gebaseerd op de _x001F_guur van Abraham uit het Oude Testament, die bereid was aan God het grootst denkbare o_x001D_ffer te brengen: zijn zoon Isaak. In dit contrastrijke werk komen hevige emoties aan bod, en welke de componist in verschillende muzikale taferelen omschrijft. Dieses Tongedicht für Blasorchester handelt von der alttestamentarischen Geschichte von Abraham, der bereit war, Gott bedingungslos das größte Opfer zu bringen: seinen Sohn Isaak. In Ferrer Ferrans stark kontrastiver Komposition stehen die Emotionen, die diese Geschichte weckt, im Vordergrund: die Wonne des menschlichen und göttlichen Lebens im Gegensatz zu Sorge, Angst und Opfermut. La Bible contient un récit faisant mention d’un sacri_x001C_fice humain non consumé, lorsque, peu de temps après la naissance de son fils Isaac, Abraham reçu l’ordre de Dieu de lui offrir son fils en holocauste sur le Mont Moriah. Ce poème symphonique, qui brosse le portrait de la vie du patriarche, est une oeuvre de contrastes très marqués. La douceur de l’existence humaine et divine est en opposition permanente avec l’inquiétude, la peur et le sacrifice. Nel racconto biblico, Dio strinse un patto con Abramo promettendogli un _x001E_glio dalla moglie Sara. Dio volle mettere alla prova Abramo e gli impose di sacri_x001E_ficare il _x001E_figlio Isacco. Abramo obbedì, ma al momento di immolare Isacco fu fermato da un angelo. Questo poema sinfonico che rivisita la vita del patriarca, è un’opera dai contrasti molto marcati. La dolcezza dell’esistenza umana e divina è in perenne opposizione con l’inquietudine, la paura e il sacrificio.
