About this arrangement

Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1098838 By John Coltrane. By Miles Davis. Arranged by edited by Dr. LeRoy Henry. Blues,Jazz,Standards. Guitar Tab. 2 pages. Dr. LeRoy Henry #702685. Published by Dr. LeRoy Henry (A0.1098838). The album Live at Yoshi’s is a stunning display of jazz-guitar prowess. The disc captures a night when everything seemed to be falling into place for Martino and his trio of organist Joey DeFrancesco and drummer Billy Hart is perhaps more than even the guitarist’s most ardent admirers could have hoped for. DeFrancesco and Hart are both predictably awe-inspiring, but it’s the telepathic chemistry between the three band members and the understandably thrilled audience that really blasts Live at Yoshi’s into a higher realm of live jazz albums. The trio’s interplay on the laid-back version of “All Blues” seems to reach a new peak with each chorus, culminating in Martino’s beautiful closing unaccompanied cadenza. The head of this Miles Davis tune as played by Martino on this record is offered here. Wolf Marshall has transcribed the entire solo with tablature and a detailed analysis. That transcription can be found in the book The Best of Pat Martino: A Step-by-Step Breakdown of the Guitar Styles and Techniques of a Modern Jazz Legend published by Hal Leonard.
