About this arrangement

Concert Band Concert Band - late intermediate SKU: RU.10325 Composed by Frank H. Losey. Edited by Timothy Rhea. Arranged by Edited by Timothy Rhea. Contest/Festival. Legacy of the March. Score and Parts. RBC Publications #10325. Published by RBC Publications (RU.10325). 9 x 12 inches.Written in 1915, the background of America First has not been well documented. It is believed that Losey choose this particular title as a result of World War I taking place during the time the march was composed. As the original purpose of a march was for use by the military to keep time during marching and maneuvers, this wonderful march could certainly have served that purpose, as well as evoking a sense of pride and patriotism when performed by bands during the period.
