" AMERTUME " is a composition of about three minutes long for mixed choir (SATB). This piece sets to music a selection of poems taken from Guillaume Apollinaire's collection "The Bestiary or Procession of Orpheus" based on bitterness, a feeling felt in the face of a situation of injustice or regret. We will hear "The carp", "The chip" and "The crayfish".  This work explores different rythmic games and rich polyphonies, combined with conventional vocal techniques, including glissandi and the spoken voice.  "AMERTUME" obtains a 2nd jury prize at the EUFONIA - BORDEAUX 2021 international composition competition and is the first part of a cycle devoted to Apollinaire's work. The creation was given in Bordeaux Cathedral on October 10, 2021.
