The left hand part is a flowing triplet feel that provides the background chords that support a simple, plaintive melody in the right hand. In letter A section, the music reflects droplets of rain, some small and other droplets greater in size (legato and staccato). In letter B section, a repeat of the melody with the introduction of a G≤ chord leading into a set of chords that move the piece back to chord V (C7) of F minor (coda). In the coda, distant thunder is represented by a left-hand tremolo that swells in volume and fades away (morendo). The next piece in this series of 2 - part Piano/keyboard pieces will be May flowers.
