For this arrangement I have produced an ABA version of the work, and have added a second solo soprano in the second section A. I have resisted the temptation to do a mere transcription of the original material, and rather have tried to reflect the almost guitar-like texture that the eight cellos produce; other times I have varied the bass line in such a way that it is more cantabile and less acrobatic.
