Arrival expresses the mystery of the new and lifts the fog to the happiness once understood.From the album booklet:"I stared across the land, but a blanket of whiteclouded my vision. Slowly, the mist subsided anda field of animals awaited sleepily across thelandscape. I could see the creatures awakening,and my heart filled with hope that for once,I would cleanse my world of their evils andsatiate my desire for happiness. (2:50)."The music is 2 minutes and 50 secondsAbout the ScoreArrival is music for orchestra or for a specific group of players. It's initial mystery and drama allows for a sense of discovery into happy, frolicky fun. The piece includes violins, celeste, sleigh bells, a saw and a water gong, but I can imagine it can work adapted in a number of ways by different groups or a very advanced group of students (for example replacing the Saw with a violin).
