The second tune has become more well-known, but I think this one is the more beautiful, matching the sentiment of the words. It dates back to the earliest version of this song, in the early 1600's. This is an arrangement for beginning harp, but it includes an additional verse of of just rolled chords, to accompany singing, or to mix and match to make a longer arrangement. Also includes a cue part for 2nd harp or other instrument.  Chord symbols are given throughout so you can take this simple beginning and add to it. Great skill building, and a lovely tune to work with! The recording gives two possible variations using the score included.
