Although born in Málaga, Spain, he moved to Puebla, Mexico in 1620, and was later appointed maestro de capilla of the Puebla Cathedral in 1628. He is most well-known for his choral works, with a large number of them surviving to this day. Instrumentation: 6 Bassoons, 2 Contrabassoons.
