Bajo La Palmera (SousLe Palmier; Under The Palm Tree) was the third in a collection of 5 songs for the Piano inspired by Spain and Spanish culture, published in 1898 as Cantos de España (Op. 232). The piece draws heavily on Spanish Gypsydances, especially the Tango.Bajo La Palmera has been transcribed for two Guitars by the Spanish Guitar virtuoso Miguel Llobet (1878-1938).
