The harp sets the scene and isn't necessarily a character so much as it is a time piece and tone setter. The birds are played by the Piccolo, Flute, and Oboe, and The Baker is the Horn in F. Lonely Bird- A lonely little bird calls out in the middle of the night, this catches the attention of the restless baker who takes pity on the little fella and comforts him. After which the baker promptly falls asleep.     The Argument- The Baker is awoken with the sounds of all the little birds having an outrageous argument.
