The famous first night of Brundibár in Terez n took place on September 23rd 1943 in thehall of Magdeburg barracks. 'The children liked the opera from the very first. Both the music and the text. Both are childlike, the music is modern and melodious...' - R. Franek, The Terez n School,Prague1965. This edition includes the original Czech libretto by Adolf Hoffmeister, plus an English translation by Joza Karas and a German translation by Frank Harders-Wuthenow and Matthias Harre.
