This is a fun chart that I jokingly call "R & Barbershop," as it has a lot of influence from R&B, but it remains written in the style of Barbershop and should ideally be sung by a male quartet.It features both the Lead and the Tenor throughout (the Tenor at the Chorus sections), and is full of major 9th chord harmony and other Jazz harmony (as is the original). Regarding the style, I would recommend at times using a more "off the voice," breathy tone, as this is common in both Jazz, R&B, and Michael Jackson's use of his falsetto, which is featured in the upper ranges of this melody. So allow yourself to be creative and play.Breaths are a little difficult to come by as the music moves from idea to idea, without much downtime between phrases (it was composed this way). As long as your group creates a logical breath plan, you should be fine. Just don't breath randomly. It starts to sound like mistakes when people are taking breaths apart from one another.In the end, have fun! That's what it's all about!
