Wind would scour His pain, To leave behind a promise true That we shall live again. Far too is Gethsemane, Hidden 'midst the trees, Where he suffered for our sins, Fallen on His knees. There he drank the bitter cup, With none His pain to ease. The forest silent to HIs groans Dispersed upon the breeze. Ev'ry bough in reverence bent To His grief unseen, In honor of His sacrifice, That man could now be clean. Christ is not so far away, Nor His loving care. All creation sings His praise, Knowing He is there. See Him in each blooming flower, In rivers streaming by. Then feel Him in each mighty gale, Each snowflake in the sky. Glory Lord is thine alone. Earth still sings Thy fame, 'Til all shall bow before Thy throne, Remembering Thy name.
