JB Linear #3885595. Published by JB Linear (A0.581993). Sigfrid Karg-Elert (1877 – 1933) was an instructor of music theory and composition at the Leipzig Conservatory. He wrote his 30 Caprices for a flautist friend in 1918 and they have since become standard etudes for flute students. With some editing as to range and technical issues arising between the flute and the clarinet, they also work well for clarinet. There were three caprices omitted in this edition since they were unsuitable for clarinet (#18, 23, 28).
