Born in 2008, Jonathan Platz is a young self-taught composer who has won awards at the Gold Coast QMTA Composers’ Competition, ASME Queensland Young Composers' competition, and the Innisfail Young Performers’ Competition.  Carousel Quartet in G Major won three awards, including first place, at the 2019 Gold Coast QMTA Composers’ Competition.  This clarinet quartet was performed at the local high school’s Band Spectacular and is written to capture the excitement of being at the carnival, with the rise and fall of the notes roughly reflecting that of a carousel.  The composition would best suit early intermediate and above students.  This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
