The original piece was written in 1976 and dedicated to Jack Stone and the Richland College Early Brass. It was published by Shawnee Press and performed often around the nation. The music was scored for large brass section and percussion. My new version is for brass quintet Bb Trumpets 1-2, F French Horn, Trombone and Tuba. Movement III is a real "flag waver" to bring down the curtain on a concert. It features lots of flashy trumpet phrases and includes a short...melodic/harmonic ensemble section.
