CHRISTMAS CAROLS FOR THE YOUNG STRING ORCHESTRA was written primarily to assist string instructors with music for Christmas programs.  These carols are arranged so the orchestra can accompany singers, or audiences at music concerts.  For many years I  have used similar  arrangements with my own string orchestra.  I always enjoyed giving the audience an opportunity to participate.  Audiences enjoy having the opportunity to sing carols with the orchestras.  With these arrangements, the introduction begins each carol and as well, each carol is accompanied with the scale being used in the carol as well as the rhythms taken from the carol.  A great way to warmup at the beginning of a class.  All arrangements also come with Third Violin parts.
