Cello,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1233580 Composed by Colin Kirkpatrick. Holiday,Instructional,Wedding. Score and part. 5 pages. Colin Kirkpatrick Publications #829163. Published by Colin Kirkpatrick Publications (A0.1233580). Cloud Nine is a stand-alone reflective piece for cello and piano. It's written in D minor/F major which modulates to D major. The top note for the cello is the A above the staff (A4) but this occurs only once. The lowest note is the A in the lowest space (A2) The piece is for intermediate cello players who are comfortable in the tenor range of the instrument (though the tenor clef is not used) and the piano part is quite accessible. It's a slow, dreamy piece which is ideal for the intermediate cello player. It would make a good recital piece or could be effective as a relaxing encore.
