The work has not been performed since the first years of the 20th century. Concert Overture has its origins in stage work "Jungfrun i tornet", and is in a way hidden inside of the stage music. Conductor and scholar Tuomas Hannikainen discovered the existence of the overture during his research in 2019. He has edited and reconstructed the work.
