Primo and Secondo players exchange "call and response" phrases over a sparse terzo bass line."Sempre Legato" is a slow, contrapuntal exploration of a descending scalic motif by the primo and secondo players over an arpeggiated accompaniment provided by the terzo player."Easy-Going Blues" is a "laid-back", slow-to-medium tempo, swing blues in which each player has a vital role to perform. Whilst the primo player reiterates the "riff-like" melody, the secondo player adds the harmony to the terzo walking bass line."Encore" is a light-hearted piece of musical "trivia" which could be used to conclude a six-handed recital programme.
