Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.794116 By Crystal Gayle. By Churchill Kohlman. Arranged by Dave Gingras, John E. Dosher. Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. DAVID LEE GINGRAS #6447379. Published by DAVID LEE GINGRAS (A0.794116). "Cry" is a 1951 popular song written by Churchill Kohlman. The song was first recorded by Ruth Casey on the Cadillac label. The biggest hit version was recorded in New York City by Johnnie Ray and The Four Lads on October 16, 1951. Singer Ronnie Dove also had a big hit with the song in 1966 and Crystal Gayle had a #1 hit on the Billboard Country chart in 1986. I like the Crystal Gayle version so we patterned this arrangement after it.
