Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1398409 Composed by Traditional Spiritual. Arranged by Brandon Haynes. Spiritual. Score. 7 pages. Brandon Haynes #981685. Published by Brandon Haynes (A0.1398409). Arranged for Cimarron Opera's 54th Annual Festival of Spirituals. "De Blin' Man Stood On De Road and Cried" is an African American Spiritual with biblical commentary of the story of Bartimaeus and its relation to the human experience of African American slavery. Typically, this spiritual is sung and performed in major mode. However, to add more poignancy to the text, I have set it in minor-mode until the final verse going from Eb-minor to C-major briefly and ending in A-minor. It is for high-voice and piano accompaniment. This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
