This is the third of three pieces which now form a set.  Drama therefore serves as a finale and on occasions harks back to textures heard in the first piece (Moving Between).  In that piece there are different types of texture and sections which act as bridges between them. Here there is little in the way of transitional material, preference being given to starker contrasts which are produced by opposites such as slow and fast speeds, symmetrical and asymmetrical harmonies, porous and thick textures and sound and noise.
