String Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1306512 By string orchestra. By Traditional Fiddle Tune. Arranged by Paul Hemmer. 19th Century,Country,Folk,Traditional. 21 pages. PJMS MUSIC #895866. Published by PJMS MUSIC (A0.1306512). This traditional fiddle tune was inspired Julien Dubuqu, the lead miner/fur trader who established the first community on the Mississippi River where now is the City of Dubuque, Iowa. According to tradition and legend, Dubuque was an accomplished fiddler who would dance while performing. Inspired by a performance observed when Julien was visiting St. Louis, a fiddler composed the basis for this composition in 1800. This arrangement for String Orchestra is a lively feature that will delight performers and audience alike. This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
