In the text, the subject is reminiscing about lost love and their wishes for their lover to return to them in real life, or even in dreams, like an echo.  They describe the memories of their love as something that shall always be a part of their life, much like the way it is in every heartbreaking relationship. The poem, and thus the music, is filled with the emotions of deep yearning, along with joy of memories past and hope- until it all fades away at the end and reality sets back in......"Echo" will be my featured compostion to celebrate "International Piano Day" on March 29th, 2023.
