Recently named Professor Emeritus of Horn for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Professor of Horn at the Chopin University in Warsaw, Poland, Machala has turned more and more to arranging and composition, adding to the repertoire for his instrument. Eclipse, a new work for eight horns, gives equal weight to all parts in a dynamic new concert piece.
