I met Tom in kindergarten in 1970 and was his friend until his own early and unfortunate passing on July 30, 2023. This piece is meant to sound mournful and dissonant at the beginning. Hoewever, Faye would have never wanted anyone to sit around mourning and being sad, so it picks up pace as it lifts her soul to heaven, pain free, reunited with her husband and family members, and settling into peace and joy.
