The German composer Manfred Schneider (Kestert am Rhein, 1953) played French horn in the Military Band of the German Army at Koblenz. He added several fine compositions to the contemporary original wind band repertoire. Since the very popular 'Upside Down', quite a number of interesting compositions by Schneider were published by Molenaar Edition, such as this work 'First Appearance' a most pleasant slightly swinging slow.
