Stuempfle, Jr.The tune is based on ATHLONE, a traditional Irish melody. Five verses allow for various choral textures, all easily handled by a balanced ensemble. A similar approach is given to the three other settings. The handbell parts are more involved than a bell or two rung here and there, but could be performed by members of most choral ensembles.
