Crosby and Imelda Delgado were brought together by a mutual interest in Sidney Foster (1917-1977) an extremely influential American pianist and pedagogue. To fulfill the commission, Crosby turned to the ABCs of Latin countries notable for their dance traditions-Argentina (Tango), Brazil (Bossa Nova), and Cuba (Bolero ar.d Mambo). This delightful set of pieces is sure to become a popular addition to :he oboists' recital repertoire.
