Right from the opening bars, an energetic and sustained motif is developed. The second movement is more serene and somewhat romantic. Finally, the third movement reintroduces the opening elements, now supported by quite an elaborate rhythmic line leading to a triumphant finale. In diesem unterhaltsamen und abwechslungsreichen Stück ist eine klare ABA Form erkennbar. Das kraftvolle Auftaktthema, das sich im ersten Satz entwickelt, wird im zweiten Satz zunächst durch eine getrageneres, beinahe romantisches Thema abgelöst,kehrt dann aber im dritten Satz in einer stärker rhythmisierten Form wieder und beschert dem Stück schließlich ein strahlendes Finale.
