Schadl (A0.912510). Inspired by late-romantic and early twentieth century composers, such as Joseph Rheinberger (1839-1901) and Paul Hindemith (1895-1963), the piece portrays the rising of spiritual light from darkness. The piece starts at a moderate sound intensity and builds up volume gradually until it reaches the fortissimo sections in the last few measures. Fugue in E may be performed during the Easter Sunday service that celebrates Christ’s resurrection from the dead, and may be played as a concert piece.   Organ registrations and tempo indications are only suggestions.
