The Ensemble Collection includes original compositions and arrangements written specifically for the album, covering a wide variety of musical styles. ‘Hoch uf em Baerg’, ‘Willi Melodie’, and ‘Swiss Guides’ Call’ could be considered examples of more traditional Alphorn pieces, whereas both versions of ‘Solitude’ feature the instrument in a more modern musical context.
