After a very straightforward statement of the melody and a spirited, fiery section, the treble and bass reverse roles, with the bass bells ringing the richly harmonized, rhythmic melody and the upper trebles ringing a light sixteenth-note pattern. After a shimmering climax, the piece concludes with a quick, energetic finish. Appropriate for Pentecost or general use in worship or concert.
