The text is by Horatius Bonar from 1848, and is the one most commonly associated with this tune.My arrangement begins with a SAB paraphrase of Ralph Vaughan Williams' 1906 revoicing of the Tallis a cappella hymn over a sustained pedal point in the organ for the first verse.
