Cello,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1258653 Composed by P. F. Strohm. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival. Score and part. 28 pages. Pete Strohm Music #851913. Published by Pete Strohm Music (A0.1258653). "Impromptu No. 1 for Violoncello and Piano" is the first in a set of one-movement works from American composer P. F. Strohm. The first five of these impromptus are intended for skilled players, requiring great tone, technique and musicality from both performers. They are outstanding works for contest, concert or recital, either individually or as a set. In the first impromptu, the cello sails over a rolling, arpeggiated piano, with the piece alternating between a stormy, driving primary theme and a calm, floating secondary restatement. In the end, calm prevails with a lovely, gradual resolution. Difficulty level is medium-advanced. Performance time is 5:35. Member, ASCAP. This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
