Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1381149 By Jack Strachey. By Gawn Grainger and Paul Angelis. Arranged by Paul Broadhurst. This edition: pdf, streaming. 20th Century, Film/TV, Patriotic, Pop, Standards. Individual part. 4 pages. Molto rubato #965854. Published by Molto rubato (A0.1381149). This theatre organ arrangement is a great retro piece to play as an uplifting item in a concert. Composed in 1944, it was used for many years as the theme for the BBC radio programme "Housewives' Choice". Its huge popularity meant that it came to represent the idea of Middle England in the 1950s and 1960s. It's still a hugely entertaining and joyous piece of music for today's audiences. This organ cover allows the organist to really let their hair down! It's a wonderful vehicle for the lush sounds of the Wurlitzer theatre organ but also allows concert and even church organists to take a walk on the wild side. The dreamily romantic middle section is hugely engaging and the cheeky ending is magical! This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
