Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1114222 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Wesley Carroll. Christmas,Holiday,Praise & Worship. Score and parts. 30 pages. Wesley Carroll #716156. Published by Wesley Carroll (A0.1114222). This is a beautiful and stirring arrangement of Gustav Holst's tune to In The Bleak Midwinter, arranged for Concert Band. The piece consists of three settings of the melody. In the first setting the melody is in the Euphonium/Trombone part and would work well played by an individual as a solo line or by the section in unison. In the second setting the attention switches to the woodwind instruments with the melody shared between clarinet and flute. The is a transition section that builds up to a final presentation of the tune for full ensemble, before a quieter coda concludes the piece. This piece would be suitable for use in a wide variety of Christmas Carol concerts and events in the holiday season.
