Watabe Riou, A. sax. Hinako Hachiya) Received the gold medal at the 40th Akita Prefectural Tournament of the All Japan Ensemble Contest.Of the five senses (sight, touch, hearing, taste, and smell) we live in today, we use sight the most. The colors of traffic lights, photos and articles on the Internet, landscapes and people's expressions...But what if you could spend all day on the beach by the sea with your eyes closed?Normally, you might first take a picture with your smartphone camera and upload it to SNS, but let's say you don't do anything that day and just close your eyes and feel it with your whole body. I'm sure you can feel the sound of the waves, the smell of the wind, the taste of the sea breeze, the rough texture of the sand, and the voices of the seabirds. Perhaps there are many things in life that we don't feel because we rely so much on sight in our daily lives. The title of this song is "Invisible Birds", but birds are "usually" visible. However, the fact that the bird is prefaced with the word "invisible" probably means that the bird exists in the listener's or performer's senses, or in their imagination or memory. These days, many things tend to be visualized (= in a state where they can be seen). Just as conversations between machines and humans, so-called AI technology, are becoming a hot topic, even human emotions and intentions are visualized and converted into data by machines, and they respond accordingly. As technology advances, the day may not be far off when machines themselves have their own emotions. However, it is precisely because I am "invisible" that I feel as if I am asking questions to the depths of the sensibility of each and every person who comes into contact with this work. Because I can know, I feel that humans are somehow interesting. As a composer, I would be happy if you could accept the bird that lives in your heart, or the sound and score itself that I tried to express with my sensibility, and express it with my thoughts.
