Johnson's 1906 piano novelty will be instantly recognizable to your audience as "Playmates" ("Say, Say My Playmate, Come Out And Play With Me"), which composer Saxie Dowell stole note-for-note in 1940 for his big hit recorded by Kay Kyser and others. A top-flight march in its own right and a great piece of American musical history. Grade 3.
