My goal was to create an album comprising ten piano pieces in the evocative style of Chinese music, aptly named “CHINA LOVE.” The opening of JOURNEY THROUGH THE NIGHT draws on piano technique exercises, featuring decending right-hand sixths before transitioning into a haunting melody with changing meters. Subsequently, the piece shifts into a major key, utilizing open fifth octaves to evoke a cheerful and playful ambiance. The sheet music is meticulously notated, encompassing dynamic markings, articulation nuances, phrasing, pedal indications, chord symbols, suggested fingerings, and pertinent musical terminology.
