The second movement, Sunflower Silhouettes, is a lyrical tribute to the state flower. Dodge City Jamboree!, the third and final movement, incorporates a fast and spirited tempo, changing meters and keys, and a variety of articulations to evoke all of the energy and excitement of the Old West.
