English."Legend" is a showpiece by Polish violin virtuoso Henryk Wieniawski.  This piece was instrumental in securing the composer's engagement to Isabella Hampton.  Isabella's parents did not approved of their daughter's engagement to the virtuoso, but they were so moved after hearing the piece performed that they gave the young couple their blessing.
