Nach dem Prinzip der paarweisen Tonartenanlage folgt jedem Konzert in Dur eines in Moll. Mit L’estro armonico machte sich Vivaldi in ganz Europa einen Namen und übte tief greifenden Einfluss auf die Werke späterer Komponisten aus, u. a. auf J. S. Bach.
